I would say similar to turkey. Next time I shoot a few I will freeze a couple of breasts for you
Look forward to it:thumbsup:
Im not quite sure how it was cooked, I had it at my mates dads 50th, I think it was roasted in a BBQ just plain, then a bit of slat and pepper it was pretty good that way
Have you tried peacock eggs?
Nope, Have you?
I'm still waiting Toby, just asking aye;)
If they're like turkey eggs then they're quite the treat. They're bigger and richer, plus the yolk looks to be at least 20% larger than chicken eggs, even after taking into account the difference in overall size.
Bloody peacocks have started to come across from the neighbours into my place. they are using it as a pathway across to some native on another neighbours place. Has anyone ever noticed how their call sounds like a high piched female voice screaming "help"? They do have one good feature though in that over the years i have collected shitloads of their tail feathers (when they have shed them) and have them in bunches around the inside of my home.
We chase them round a mates farm once a year. They go up to the foals and scare them away from the feed bins cheeky buggers. .223 Suppressed from a long way is the only way we get them .HOWA 1500 Varminter heavy barrel had heaps spent on it to make it accurate as.2 shooters mate uses an AK that he has developed over many years and they have no chance but you gotta be quick .One visit and they all disapear til next year.Hard case but thats what they do .I did shoot one three times with subs in 22 waste of time they are tough buggers and I was close to it heard the shots hit it it just flew off. Tried . 17 HMR but not clean kills and not quick either. They are fun but ours are so timid they run when they see you then fly off if they hear a gun.
