That's is the type of deer, not the name of the guy holding it . Weird looking beastie must admit
now we have the third world population and only free-range .
It is a chinese deer that is genetically closely related to red deer. It was discovered by a French missionary and is a seriously ugly mother with the tail of a donkey the hooves and muzzle of a cow, the neck of a camel and as you have observed VC antlers that look like an out of control gorse bush.
Thanks for sharing that linyera. Outstanding! Got anymore pics to share from Argentina? :)
what is the success ratio ?????????
red deer 90 % , fallow deer 95 % , black buck 100 % , wild goat 100 % , patagonian ram 100 % , mouflon 90 % , multi-horned sheep 95 % , wild boar 70 % , puma 70 % , pere david´s deer 95 % , alpine ibex 70 % , capybara 95 % and water búffalo 90 %

That is a nice red. They obviously have very good nourishment to produce heads like that.
The red stag I would assume "not" free range.
Very interesting that the Pere Davids are free ranging, awesome. They are the only deer never to have been known in thier native range, a few were discovered by David (a missionary) in a park in china (Imperial garden???) can't remeber the details. It is assumed that they were a wet land/ swamp dweller. Plenty in England, only in parks I think.
If that is a free range animal above, then they are very good quality!!
