Smile Performance of Barnes TSX 150 gr / 7mm-08 . Pig taken with this load

    evening ,
I took a 50lb porker on the weekend at about 100mts with a reload of my own.
Have to say i was really impressed at how the projectile performed . No weight was lost . It mushroomed perfectly and never left the body of the pig. The animal took a single round to just in front of its left ear ( it was almost straight onto me ) and the round travelled through its skull , down its neck , through its chest /abdomen and logded just under the skin in the right rear flank .
I have taken some pics for those that might be interested .
The target is from the load development and at 100mts . If you look carefully you will see the load details written on the target, and the target has three rounds in it sent there by my Mossberg 7mm-08 which is the rifle in the pic of the pig . Name: IMG_0101.jpg

Nice work. A mate hunts solely with a 120ttsx in his 708. Barrel is 20 inch from memory.
He likes it. Seems good out to 350 yards
The hammer projectiles ate another good mono

that would be right. That load of mine is designed for about 350 as well in a 22 inch barrel . I,d be interested know what the dope is for his load , if he would share it .

Used a 110g out of the 270 today but all I got out of the log behind it was a thin piece of mangled mess. Range may have played a part and bullet track too.
