Yes you definitely need one. Peace of mind for family too

There’ll be several threads on here about them but I’m confident you’ll find CooeeBay (something like that) on here has the smallest and sharpest price. And don’t be phased he’s an Aussie. Everything works here just fine.

A NZ registered KTI from Skippers Mate in Aussie. Great price, product and service. $300-325 to you door. 10 year battery life. Dumb if you don't have one at that price.

I got a kti as a gift. It was bought from Australia, and I think that was the cheapest place.

Skippersmate, remember to register it and keep that info up to date. $300ish for 10 years is pretty cheap.

The wife made me get one two years ago, a good piece of mind especially solo hunting.

+1 skippers mate / cooee Bay. If I was getting one now though I'd be looking at an inreach device

Works as plb, can also use to send texts and get weather updates, @Ryan_Songhurst has one and might be able to add more info

Doesn't work as a plb as such, it runs on a different system, I have one, and also carry a plb because I don't trust the inreach to be 100% reliable

There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

That’s the one I’ve been looking at because it has a 10 year battery , just don’t want to end up upgrading to somthing better if there is a chance to just buy the right thing now , suppose it’s hard because you don’t use it till you need it
