I wonder if Constable Plod finally gets around to issuing the licence, it will be effective from

1...the date the dosh was paid, or

2...the date the application was lodged, or

3...the date he finally got around to it.

Consider how these alternatives affect the duration of the licence dependent upon if it as a new licence or a renewal of a licence.

The turnaround time should be so short it does not matter.

Signed it, but it is very weakly worded. There is nothing in there about the effect of delays on firearm licence holders - firearms having to be removed from person's possession while waiting unreasonable amount of time, not being able to participate in roar / duck hunting / target shooting, etc. Not that any of it actually matters...

I admire Matthew Hata for having a go and he deserves our full support.

Matthew is more likely to be heard if he triggers a 'Woke' response claiming Maori are descriminated against in the processing and granting of licenses.

Race Relations Commissioner Meng Foon may be eager to accept such a complaint. IPCA may also be a little more motivated to respond when the race card is played.

And our parliamentary representatives have to raising hell about the delays.

Since his appointment, Meng Foon has unveiled his hidden true colours. Unless it one of the brown brother's being disadvantaged, the attitude is disinterest.

Yes indeed. The final straw for me was when he demanded the removal of the bull scull in that pub up north because of its name when some over sensitive little snowflake had a cry.
