    pig hunting

    hi guys/girls

    new to the forum
    finding it real hard to find any spots for pig hunting most farmers i have tried like sticking to a couple guys . me and mate are really keen on any spots around mid-south canterbury ,waimate, north otago i don't want to step on any ones toes /steal there spots just looking to have a good time any help would be wicked. ill chuck a box of piss etc your way .im local timaru man

    You've actually got the right idea by door knocking the cockies directly. Stick with that, then you're not relying on any other hunter for access to property.

    Kakanui,s / hamden espcially round the forestry margins....doc out the back used to be ok as well few deer/ wild sheep / hut ...got to be a good combo...not sure how you would get on this time of year with lambing pretty sure they used to shut the gate doc should no.

    yeah its hard as alot of the farmers only like a certin amount of guys on there land.

    cheers for info iv searched the doc land sites nothing comes up around the kakanui maybe they havnt got it on there website .i hunt anything realy that can fit in my freezers

    Look up the red hut...not sure who administers it but its a handy base pretty good animal numbers around ...trotters gorge etc etc theres quite a few blocks around only thing is youl need a permit !!

    you meaning a permit with DOC. i have one already for Canterbury just need branch out id say
