    Pig traps

Hey guys, hope all is well! Any experienced pig trap builders out there? Would love to see how your set up works in terms of trigger/activation and or pulley/spring closure! Got a cheeky 90 lbs boar last night and have half a trap good to go.Name: 20250116_221235.jpg

Too complicated. A welded mesh pen in the shape of a 6 is easiest.
My neighbour caught eighteen in one go in his.

You mean the one with the flap across the 'leg' of the 6 that pushes open and is a one way sort of option?

That's the one, I had several easy to build just 2 sheets if heavy reinforcing mesh, a bundle of warratahs and some lacing wire. If I can find them I've got photos somewhere

Seen one similar to yours.about ute deck size. The gate swung upwards it was half of one end but slightly longer than height of crate so it could come down but not push outwards.small section/wall alongside it,inside crate so pig pushed inwards lifting door of small forked stick, gate falls down after pigs bum has past and pig can't lift gate to get back out. Saw photos of whole family of pigs inside pen.
    75/15/10 black powder matters
