Its all about getting out alot and learning the area.. If you have been out 10 times at 10 different locations then you may still be as bad as being out on your first hunt.
The animals are out their but are way too cunning as they know that we hunters exist.. lol. I asked the same question on this forum when I got my FAL and was unsuccessful after few hunts.
Followed the advise of our seniors out here on the forum and started learning the area. As you start doing that, your unsuccessful days will slowly start turning to successful days and m very sure we will be reading your trip reports fairly soon..
Another very handy tip if you are new to hunting.. start after animals that are less cunning to hunt (like goats on public land). Track and trace their movement, time and place they shelter, and in no time without you even realizing will hit onto your first deer..
I can take you along for a goat hunt if you willing to. PM me
Cheers
