Planning a deer hunt during roar

Ok guys I am planning an after work mission during the roar would have loved to have planned a weekend trip but the only weekend I get off I have to go to a wedding (ARRRGH!!!!!!) so my thought is as soon as afternoon milking is done grab gear and go, this would be happening on a weekend not a weekday.

I am five minutes away from a very good area to hunt in the Kaimais with plenty of clearings traveling to the hunting location I will be going to is only five minutes by car then a 20 minute max walk there will only be enough room for one or two extra people, I am still learning about hunting deer so you would also have to be patient with my fumbling and floundering about.

Anyone interested please feel free to PM me also got room if anyone wants to travel down and wishes to stay over the night.

Have you seen how many are parked there every evening lately?
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

I thought anyone who goes from a 270 to a 308 would be a Lion Brown drinker

More to the point...when are you going to come up and shoot a deer...took the grandson out for a crack at a possum on the weekend and lit up three sets of eyes [deer]...he was keen but as we only had the 22...did you know that Thompsons has been dozered to the top

Yeah I do have to get my arse up there been at the back of the farm trying to get a load I have got for the 308 fine tuned got some accuracy with the powder charge just getting the seating depth right to get it to shoot 1 inch at 100 meters which I need to get my butt into gear with as the boss is going to get me to shoot a couple of pigs up the back of the runoff for the freezers. Yes the boss is finally going to let me shoot at the run off but he also wants to be there too so at least I am getting somewhere in that department but at the moment it is only when he wants me to go for a shoot up there not when I feel like it even if I ask.

Also I did not know a bully had been up thompsons to do any work there but really good to know.
