Thread: Poachers Fire on Forestry Workers

If you hear shots and bullets hitting nearby objects and you hit the deck and/or hide behind something, would you describe that as dodging bullets? I'm sure many people would, even if its not each individual bullet being dodged.

The forestry workers may have seen said poachers with dead pigs before being fired at by them? That would be pretty conclusive of them being pig poachers, though you're right that it doesn't mean the pigs they were poaching were deliberately released beforehand.

In general I agree about crap reporting and I'm often among the first to poke holes in the media (don't get me started on everything in the Mount Cook National Park area being 'on Mount Cook'!) - but you seem to be making some assumptions about it too. Cracking down on poachers is no bad thing at all, they royally screw up a lot of public opinion and access for honest hunters.
