Possums, Goats, Wallaby, Rabbits, Hares Wanted

    Hey Guys,

we are a pet food processor and exporter located in Tuakau, Waikato.

I know that no hunting is going on during lock-down, but after things normalise we are interested in looking for PROFESSIONAL hunters to supply possum, goat, wallaby, rabbits and hares.

We don't drive around picking up animals, we use Big Chill to uplift from business addresses.

Minimum of 500 kg per uplift.

Obviously we need the standard paperwork- if you are a professional hunter then you are familiar already with it- but if you are just getting started we can walk you through it. It's not too bad.

Really only interested in big numbers and not part timers.

    We pay:

    ALL ex GST

    Possum: $2.95 per kg
    Goats: $2.20 per kg
    Wallaby: $4.00 per kg
    Rabbit: $4.00 per kg
    Hare: $4.00 per kg

That's for gutted product, feet off, heads off, bums out.

Those are the best prices on offer in all of N.Z to my knowledge.

Email me at: Haisley@carnivoro.co.nz if you are interested.

Payment is 24 hours upon product received to our factory.

I have edited post. Upon reflection it was a bit juvenile.

    Good luck with the venture.

All good Tiroahunta- we are based in the Waikato too. Can I twist your arm to give us a go? On a brighter note the government has finally given hunters that supply pet food companies the permission to hunt. I can provide permits to suppliers. Food for thought.

Procurement of Wild Animals for Petfood

MPI have confirmed that the supply of raw materials for petfood is an essential service.

Therefore hunting / trapping of wild animals for petfood is essential.

A reminder that businesses should be registered as essential business except that business with less than five employees and are able to demonstrate safe personnel practices are exempt from registration.

Note that “approved suppliers” of wild animals are not considered employees.

Thanks for the offer. I couldn’t supply the quantities you’re after and don’t have storage space. I’m certainly in the part time bracket.
