hi all, just joined forum today...big fan of 7mm08. they will be around long time....based on 308 so easy to get brass.
do all my own reloading and happy to help anyone wanting loads built up. based Auckland so does not suit all on forum i know.
trade rifles, collect wooden stock rimfires have plenty of gear and buy/sell a lot. have lots of brass for 7mm08 ( a lot of necked down 308). only run redding gear so yes a snob!!
if you prefer 308 currently have brno 601, tikka T3 full overbarrel greystone sup and a Rem 783 all in 308 that are for sale. all come with a guarantee!! "you point it correctly and it will shoot straight!"
I got some once fired 7mm08 brass here in Dannevirke if any one wants it,the Mrs getting sick of seeing shells on every shelf and cabinet in the house.

There’s also a good one on the 7mm08 by Vortex Nation. Looks like it was posted a couple of years ago but the observations are still relevant today. Would be a shame if it disappeared off the scene as it fulfills a nice general purpose niche, especially those in the lighter frame category and young hunters but looses nothing really in performance. I’ve always recommended it.

whats funny about the above statement is that was eggzachary what has been said about the EBRG/twoforfree since....well as long as this 50 year old can remember.... the widespread use of suppressors have changed things completely, what was once considered hard kicking is now mild enough for youth etc to use....seeing them young fellas on NZ Hunter adventures knocking over animals with big rifles fitted with suppressors or brakes really brought that home .

I could not imagine life without a 7mm08. Getting excited just thinking about it

I am very keen to have this calibre for my next rifle but the only thing that is currently holding me off is the supply of factory ammo. I will wait and see.
