Yes a good response by the people who felt there wasn't an issue with it, to much PC bullshit these days so this was nice to see.

Yes, too many Karens in NZ.

Though it brings to mind, a question I've been wondering about.

Please understand my hunting days, were few and long ago and I like to bow and arrow, rabbits now.

Q: Why do I see skins of pigs, hung on fences all around?

I don't mind them, I just don't know why they are there.

Is it "look at my macho"?

Does it keep other pigs out of the pasture , therefore protecting the field?

    Some other reason?

Regarding rabbit carcasses being hung on fences, I've never understood that myself. The reasons people have given me for their actions vary between "leaving it as a warning to other rabbits" to "leaving it there to encourage the hawks to come this way". I don't subscribe to any of the theories because rabbits are never going to be scared off by seeing a brother hanging on a deer fence, mustelids are unlikely to climb a fence to feed off the remains and nor will a wild cat when there are easier pickings all around them. Hawks can see dead rabbits on the ground from hundreds of meters away without having to hang them on the fence and given rabbits aren't in the habit of climbing fences to die its an unnatural place for them to be, therefore it's more likely to have the opposite effect of an attractor.

Each to their own, I guess.
