Queenstown hunting.

Hi guys.
Found myself in Queenstown for a few days and chucked my rifle in for the trip.
I don't know the area at all and understand a lot of the good areas are balloted.
Any help or advice on areas that I could go for a day hunt would be gratefully appreciated, the favour will be returned if anyone from down here finds themselves in Christchurch.

Try DOC office they are generally helpful

I would but only just arrived and they aren't open this late, hoping to get out for an early morning hunt.
