Thread: Rangitaiki conservation area hunting

Hey team looking at going for a walk through Rangitaiki conservation area. Has anyone been up lately? Is there much sign and any tips for this doc area

Took the missus in last night for a shake down of the new roof top tent. Only saw one red hind and that was just off the main road about 200m in on the way out and everything was squared away.
Not a lot of sign, been a few 4wds driving the tracks, we certainly didn't walk very far though. No roars heard Last night or this morning. Plenty of gunshots at dusk and dawn which sounded like coming from the farm land
