My hunt in 2002 cost only $6900 US which was good but the exchange rate was only .42 cents US for our dollar so I ended up paying about $ 14 000 NZ for my hunt alone( in Alaska ) then there was the air fare , hotel bills, getting the head and head skin processed, shipping it back to NZ, and so on. Very expensive but a trip of a life time . You will be up for at least $18,000 to $25 000 Canadian for a Moose hunt these days plus all the other bits. Make sure you specify what you want eg 60 plus inch spread , or maybe three to four brow points a side and make sure that they are available in the outfitters area. Some areas may only have a 50 inch average. Good luck and generally the closer to the Alaskan border the bigger the moose.
