Nice one, I have a rule which is, always expect to see something when you least expect it, in other words if you drop your guard, one's going to be there. I have shot many deer as they are taking off in the bush by giving a loud whistle, often ( but not always ) they will stop and look back giving you a second or two to release some lead at them.
