    Recommendations for Hawkes Bay

OK the weather has picked up and after a winter of waiting and sigting in at the range I am looking for advice on a few easy day walks to get me started.

If I get or see a deer all the better but just want to put the gear on and go for a walk, somewhere I can drive to (no 4wd) and not get lost so well marked or easy to follow track would be best.
    7. Avoid alcohol or drugs when handling firearms

Good judgement is the key to safe use of firearms.

Send me a pm, I will show you some nice Sika possies, both bush hunting and long range, and you can go back to them anytime and call them your own.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

It might be warming up down here but it will still be pretty bleak in the hills. Always good to stretch your legs though. Try a walk up to Makino and back via Te Puia. Good walk at least and good ground work for sussing out future missions.
@Keltic_Kiwi. Have you a personalised number plate by any chance?

Most road ends into the Kawakas are a good place to start. Park up and get in there. The more you go the more you will get to know the places deer hang out. Just avoid the main tramping routes. Remember extra long weekend here in the Bay coming up so the hills get busy and don't point your rifle at anything not 100% deer.
