Revoke access to your car regitration details

    https://transact.nzta.govt.nz/transa...foAccess/entry

Use the website above to stop people finding out your personal details by using your car licence plate details.

doesn't take long, just needs your drivers licence details and licence plate info.

They won't be turning a 929 into an rx3 any time soon.

Yeah all done easy peasie although couldn't initially get into the site.
We probably now have a little flag against our names though saying "alert, potential firearms owner"

Just noting that you would be unlikely to be access the info direct from NZTA now anyway. However companies like car dealers and 3rd parties who sell that info may have access, so it's stopping them from giving your details out.
Also if they have already exported the data to their local system, they will still have your info anyway.
If you are going to go this far re security, it would then pay to remove the firearms related bumper stickers and license plates (ie 'REM223') from your car, as that is far more likely to get you followed home than anything else.
