Thread: Roads to ahuriri and hopkins valleys

Yeah the Ahuriri was pretty good.
The ford just past the homestead was the worst bit, 4wd low and crawl through.
Got all the way up to the carpark at the end of the valley.

The Hopkins not so much, track is pretty good to about halfway up. Where it goes left to muddy ruts or right and a drop in to the river.
I turned around there as getting bellied with out a winch or recovery truck wasnt gunna be much fun.
I think I could have got it in there. Getting out back out of the river would have been the issue


For next time a winch and snorkel
