Thread: The Roar is on!!!

Just back from a couple of days in a local spot in the Ruahines, Easter Friday heard a few roars got close to a couple but they seemed to be on the move, and would only roar in reply to my roars, had a nice 8 ptr come in to my roar but couldn't get a clear shot through the shit before he spooked, good to see though.
Saturday morning got lucky with a good ole Ruahine 6ptr and thought i better shoot him to make up for last year.
For the rest of sat and sun did not hear a single roar anywhere, watched a couple of hinds and yearlings on a slip for about twenty min , no sign of a stag with them.
Both the 6 ptr and the 8 ptr seemed to be on there own ,no hinds in tow.
Couple of days at home then flying in for 6 nights so yippee !!!
