Thread: roe buck

Well a normal day at work and then o got the phone call from a land owner, asking me to take out a cullable roe Buck before the rut starts in august
well that evening i sat in the high seat over looking a new field of maize nice sunny evening when at about 1800 hours i saw him a little roe buck he came out the wood line i had walked past about 2 hours earlier.
This was the 2nd outing for the buck as the first outing he presented himself but not a shot i was happy with taking so left him for another evening, well i sat and watch for about 15 minutes as he made his way further into the open ground he was roughly about 150 metres from my seat with that he stopped i placed the crosshairs directly behind the front leg and squeezed the trigger, with that still looking through the scope i saw the beast fold up and drop to the ground not even a movement from the beast.
waiting some 15 20 minute before approaching the animal i found him exactly where i took the shot with bullet placement exact and going in through behind the front leg exiting the lower neck
