    Rotorua?

    We're visiting Rotorua this month and will get a couple of days hunting. Last time I went to Rotorua, I got very lucky with a red hind on DOC land and saw a few roos. Any recommendations, or even places to avoid? I'd also be keen to catch a trout. Have fly and spin gear, but won't be able to get afloat. Any advice gratefully received.

    The 3 main lakes apart from Rotorua it self are closed for boat fishing till October. I’m happy to give you a heads up on fishing info. Okataina is always worth a walk from the Lake Okareka end.
