    That was awesome.
I don’t personally think anything was lost in not having a kill shot filmed. It made the whole sequence feel real.

    Nice chamois,

I thought Andre would have led the charge up there, was his old stomping ground many moons ago. Few less reds about then with Waro in full action.

Awesome chamois, looking forward to watching the programme. Great you have the hunt all recorded and can look back on a cool experience!

I shot a decent chamois last year too but was out solo, only got a couple of photos haha

Awesome episode, you could see how much that Cham meant to Anto.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!

It was a good show Dave. I thought Anto might have missed, when he never misses! Lucky for him he didn't. He was also 'lucky' he was using 300 win mag - normally it will destroy a close-shot Chamois (the exit hole was very large) but Anto needed the extra killing power this one time.

I wonder what produces those unicorn chamois - feed, age, genetics plus what? Those horns were so long they almost looked unnatural.

I'd says its a combo of feed, age, genetics. I know what you mean about looking unnatural, I've been a few big trophy's and very big chamois standout as looking unreal for sure.

Here's Anto's for those that are interested, with measurements etc.

Tomorrow night's episode is a bit of goulash - Fiordland Liveaboard trip from back in March. Had a chopper to access the tops that was based on the boat for a couple of the days we were there, which was pretty epic, and saved a heap of bush bashing!

Yep 6/8th is 3/4 but DS uses 1/8th increments for score doesn't it?

DS uses 1/8" in the primary measurement but the final total score is always finished in full fraction e.g. 1/2 for 4/8, 3/4 for 6/8 etc etc

Kept it at 6/8 as within the episode we had it measured as 7/8, but over the 5 months between that measure and the official measuring at the NZDA conference it had shrunk, so thought that keeping it as an eighth might minimise confusion.
