Another great episode. Living the dream.
Unfortunately @The Hunters Club, the rare Rock Wren you filmed was actually a Pipit.

Yeah, bloody egg on my face there! Might have to hand back my Zoology degree...

And yep, we'll be heading back down again to witness that Tuna mayhem hopefully one more time. I want to be the first person to ever catch a SBT on a popper from a spa pool...

Gotta say I'm not loving the 1.5-episode-length trips, @The Hunters Club. I'm guessing it came down to the edited footage not fitting neatly into 45 minute blocks, and hoping you're not just getting on the reality TV bandwagon.

I don't have a lot of available TV viewing time and I look forward to getting a chance to sit down and watch something with a bit of a storyline, so it's mildly annoying when I can't get the beginning, middle and end in one episode...

Thanks for the great footage though, so good to be able to get a hit of our fantastic back country when I can't get out and enjoy it myself! Very jealous of the cool spots you get into...!

Get rid of the ads and gear talk sections and it would probably all fit in one full hour episode

Great idea, then not be able to pay for the show at all, guess people wouldn't be able to moan if they didn't see it at all huh

Yep, sure would be nice if we had some of that sweet, sweet 'NZ on Air' or 'Te Mangai Paho' funding.

Next four eps are all 'single serve' hour long missions.

    West Coast Roar Hunting
    Canterbury Winter Tahr & Cham
    Waterfowl Special
Kaweka Sika Roar & Summer Meat Hunt

Then another composite, pig hunting in the Maniototo and Pitt Island.

Enjoying the series, the only time I’ve ever been caught out was coming down off those tops further up from where you are Dave, took us 10hrs of character building effort & had to camp the night halfway down in pissing rain with no water, I’m looking forward to next week
Shut up, get out & start pushing!

It's going to bring back memories for you then for sure! Took us about 10 hours as well, found ourselves bluffed out three or four times, so had to just keep climbing and sidling to try and find a route down. Definitely not a fun undertaking.

I had a similar experience in Fordland many years ago. F*&K it was steep! But we HAD to find a way down to continue our trip. Just kept sidling and sidling back again until we found viable routes. 1:50,000 Topo Maps can generally show viable routes but the scale is too large to see the 10m bluffs!!

Have you blokes considered doing any shows that mix up some trout fishing and perhaps Whitebaiting with hunting, some of those rivers..., I am watching the show and thinking 'stuff the deer, look at that water !' ?
