    Sambar and Rusa

Anyone been luck (or persistent) enough to bag a decent Sambar or Rusa? Just been reading a bit about Rusa in particular in a book by Alex Gale, they don't sound like they come easy haha. I wondered if there are any photos or stories that people would share about success or lack of it in hunting these allusive things.

i hunted Rusa for 9 or 10 days last year, i missed a stag (whats new), cant remember how many i saw, maybe 10-15 rusa. Saw them all out in the open when the weather was changing from good to shitty, ususall stuff hit the clearings at first light. Youll smell them in the Bush (in the rut at least), they seem to like hanging out in the very steep nasty hard to be quiet in bush.

Never really hunted bush until i went up there and i herd alot of animals run off in the bush before i seen them, a great learning experience though
Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

10-15 isn't bad for 9-10 days, not bad at all.
