    Interesting reading, painful but interesting.

    Worth noting that the moa comparison is being made between low estimate moa numbers and the peak density numbers of deer. Personally I feel this is Dis engenuous. They have peak numbers of deer set at 50 animals per km2. There isn't anywhere you will find densities even close to this in nz outside of deer farms

    Skim read through these thanks @stug my take on the Lincoln one is decreasing Tahr numbers allows Chamois to breed more and fill the gap left from culling the Tahr. They pretty much said this so then I guess the minister of destruction will want to go after Chamois next.

    The Landcare research paper included surveys and resurveys in 2004 and 2014 but due to incosistencies in methods they are unable to conclude the tahr densities where tussock is not negatively seriously affected.
