School Holly's - Dont Ya Just Love Em

Nana and Grandad took the young fella for a nature walk last night. Swirly wind so ended up spooking a mob of 6 which would have been a long shot anyways.
Kept climbing to the top of the ridge so as to get the wind right when he spots a very obliging yearling broadside on. Dialled up 240yds, rested the rifle on his knee, middle of the shoulder with the triple 2, and well, the rest they say.........

The smile says it all! Nice work.

What load are you using in the 222? Did the young'un get to help gut it out to learn about anatomy etc?

19.5 Gr 2207 with 50 Gr Soft point.
We butcher our meat on the hill so just whip off the 4 wheels and the back steaks and into our daypacks. Easier on the knees downhill after years of carrying out all the bone for nothing.
