Nor was there sign there had been any kind of deer numbers in the past. The airstrip by the hut gets used all day every hour on the hour dropping off trampers so that might have something to do with it. My researches before going in showed deer numbers to be very low, and our experience reflected that also.

Saw a 10 pointer on the track from Kerin Forks the last (and only) time I was in there. 'Twas January 1974, though.
