    Sika in the kawekas

Seeing very good numbers of Sika this year.

The Tute has dried off quick due to drought conditions but the deer are still favouring the pick that seems to grow near the tute beds

Anyone wanting a sika for Xmas get onto ferny ridge before the sun comes up, and with the light of dawn behind you bino down low onto the northern birch face to your west, all the YouTubers stay around the ridge line track and don’t venture over the side

Animal numbers are now higher than normal between ferny and northern birch

    Looking back onto ferny

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

I've tried to have a nosey there and found utes all over the place, which is all the motivation required to trudge over the J and escape the crowds!

Had a trip down that way a month ago. Went a bit further in off a different access point, We got one each (4) and saw another 6 or 7. Great couple of days

7 super wines seems a bit excessive (so my wife tells me) lol
And not a single one broken
Hoping to get over those ways a bit more for a look about.
Fairly new to chasing sika but looking forward to the challenge for me and the dog

Immerse yourself in the front country, get into their habitat with a minimum of disruption and a minimum of disturbance, you will see plenty, then make a plan to get in close to them
