Is it worth hunting near the tops in the Roar? I usually hit the bush lower down but I was wondering if up higher might be worth a crack.
Is it worth hunting near the tops in the Roar? I usually hit the bush lower down but I was wondering if up higher might be worth a crack.
I’ve never had too much luck on them on the tops, definitely seen them high but most of the time they tend to hold a bit lower down
There’s a few good sika stags on the top right hand side of Ihaka spur at the moment, they’re vocal at 10 am and just on dark
They have made their territory scrapes so they’re staying put for the meantime that’s for sure
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
In the areas I hunt they come down from their high summer feeding grounds and gravitate to where the girls hang out, in the wide valleys and mid level benches. There will always be the outliers, but that's been my usual experience.
