Thread: Sitting or Standing…

Popped out for a bush stalk today, but also through some 2-3m high regenerating native and caught myself just scanning for ‘standing’ deer parts and had to keep reminding myself that deer are allowed to sit as well and I need to look for parts of a deer that might be sitting in scrub or long grass.
What are peoples experience with spotting deer in close country at short range - mostly sitting or standing?
Appreciate they will likely be standing feeding at the start and end of the day and likely sitting in the middle of the day. But I got curious about others experiences. Perhaps it also depends on the volume of your stalk to…

They do both, have shot 2 while they inbthere beds but mostly standing in the bush

Shot one last week bedded and come across 15 odd more that were sitting early roar trip that turned into a week of bush stalking on behalf of quiet stags much easier to shoot standing was my main observation
