Just wondering if anyone has had any experience hunting in the skippers range between lake mckerrow and alabaster. We have a group organised for a roar trip in april

been in there jet boating and went into kaipo last roar so will give the Jamestown saddle a crack this year, hunters seem to be everywhere these days over the roar, where we are going is a good 4hr walk from lake so shouldn't see to much foot traffic hopefully!

You will run into or at least hear people in there for sure.

Good place if you find a good spot. We came out with 6 stags from 5 of us. 5 being just average 8-10 bushys. And one huge 12. Would go back but have haast block this year so will give that a hit
