    Slow mo......

I hope this doesn’t sound like a trolling, controversial post… But I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time….. Is it just me who hates the slow-mo bullet strike shots that you see on many hunting programmes? I don’t mind the “real time” shot. But really feel that the slow-mo is sorta gratuitous….

I’m a hunter and have been since I was about 15 (56 now) so am not some snow-flake shit stirring trying to get a bite, Just simple curiosity to see how others feel. And please; if commenting, please play nicely! Thanks

Im not going to comment other than to give you a like and say that I agree with you 100%. Does my head in.

What I do like seeing though is some of those really long shots across gullys and you can see the trajectory of the bullet as it passes through the air and arcs to its target.

Watch this (from a good bloke on the board here) at 2.40 to 2.50ish to see what I mean.

    Oh wait, I commented

I actually like them...it shows bullet path and the impact...what DOES piss me off is when they then "cant find" the animal...or shoot another and dont collect the first.
when the fallas are stretching barrel...being able to see if the shot struck where it was aimed is a bonus for the fella who has to wander up opposite ridge to recover animal.

the "country calender" type scenes make me laugh/shake my head...you know when they are skylined on ridge to get the great silouette type photo.....and you just know any animal below them sees the same LOL.
BUT I do enjoy watching most of the shows.

    I don’t have a problem with the slow-mo shots.
