    Sourcing Meat stock ingredients

    Hey everyone,

My names Grayson, just starting to learn about hunting. I’m based in Tauranga.
I make a lot of meat stock but have trouble sourcing the ingredients.
I’m hoping to find a tauranga hunter here who’s keen to make some cash by holding onto pieces of meat/bone you’d usually chuck out. I can pick em up and happy to pay.

    Cheers :)

I'm no lawyer and am happy to stand corrected, but you might fall foul of Part 6 of the Animal Products Act if you pay someone/barter for their game bones/fat. Free should be fine though.

Also, head on over to the introductions page and let us know some more about yourself so we can welcome you appropriately.

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.

What are you doing with the stocks? If they’re for public consumption, I think you could be a bit strife if anyone found out they came from animals not killed in an approved facility.

    Hey, thanks for the reply.
The stocks are just for my own personal consumption. It's part of a nutritional plan I'll be starting.
I'm not worried about the meat not being killed in an approved facility. Just looking to source the ingredients from healthy, organic wild game, as opposed to antibiotic ridden commercial meat.

    Cheers!

Thanks for your reply and the heads up about the animal products act.
I mean I won't turn down free stock ingredients!
