I've booked a South Island road trip in March with my wife.
Visiting friends in Nelson. Two nights in Hamner to relax. Two nights in a station beyond Fairlie. I'll be hunting wallabies there. I'll be using my Tikka T3X in 223 Rem with a 1:12 inch barrel. I get to try my new Sytong Thermal scope.
Two nights in Kaikoura and bit of fishing and then back home.
It has been a long time since I visited the South Island (5 years) and a very long time since I took the rifle there (16 years).
It is also the first time in 30+ years that I will be there in the month of March.
