    Southern trip

    I'm heading south in 2week and seeking advice on locations I can explore, 4wd in and duck away for hunt -venison.
    Doc or private estate, both are options.
    My ute isn't modified so not hardout 4wd...
    Iv got a few days l, so can move about.
    I'm open to how far I go, realistic also about the weather and season. I'm an experienced bush hunter, but not expecting this trip to climb high.
    Exploring new country at this time of the year is the intent. Thanks...

    Anywhere from the Marlborough Sounds south. You could spend a month just in the sounds.

    The likes of the Rotoroa/Rotoiti Lakes area and the Tiramea Valley would be pretty good this time of year, give the option for both bush hobbit stuff but tops if it's fine and no snow
