May not be the best place to ask but I thought I would give it a crack; Has anyone had experience with with an inverted roller before? I am looking at getting one but wanted to know people's opinions on then who have used them.
Cheers spearos

They are the ducks nuts when used on the right type of gun. Lots of rope and rubbers everywhere, and they take a lot longer to load than a traditional or even standard roller.
I like the lack of rubbers on top of the gun, so the sight picture along the spear is unobstructed.
The always attached rubber (normally thicker than the others) is easier to load, as you are assisted by the pulleys.
Would I convert a short gun to be used for tarakihi, butterfish etc - nope.
Would I convert a 120 - 130 for use as a blue water gun - That would be a resounding yes.
I built one for myself. No recoil is awesome. but like Quentin said , over complicated for just shooting butters, terrys etc.
What happened to the days of good old rail guns haha
The misses is definitely going to give me grief about buying another spear gun. You should hear the comments about the number of wetsuits hanging up!
With some practice you can drown out that whining noise.
