Two Xmas's ago a mate went on a ten day holiday so i farm sat for him he is at the base of the Ruahines so every morning I took my rifle while getting the cows in to no avail.........day 5 comes and starts with no water so im sorting a water issue out still havnt got the cows in at this stage so im getting a bit pissy.Once i sort the water its just after 7 been light for hrs i jump on the quad and roar up the race out of the corner of my eye almost by the cows i see something?......turn to look as im driving by a 8 point stag in the middle of a paddok......lrft my rifle in my car it watches me drive past im muttering under my breath and wave him good by.
