Is hand held gps useful for finding way back to track?
I saw about 4 puddles around track. Do deer come to the puddles for bath or drink often around track? That is where I found deer droppings.
The mountain was great, I will be going back next week.

I went to North South track.
I only went up a bit but there is definitely deers there.
I heard red deer make sounds like human walking around bush, so I guess some branch breaking sounds wouldn't hurt me.

If I didn't have compass today I might not be righting here right now.

Thank you @Rushy, I am having a hard enough time extracting information as it is...of course he could have come from the East or West.
