Got a Nikon prostaff, 62 16-48 angled. Been really happy with it, good size to pack around, good mid priced option if euro glass is out of your reach.

Does anyone have any experience with Vortex Viper HD 20-60X 80 Spotting Scope ?

been offered a fairly new one quite cheap.

They seem to be reviewed pretty well but most reviewers are of course getting paid for it

Euro is bit more than I want to invest as wont be used that much .. (something around the $1400 mark)

I haven't used the vortex spotter Happy but the Kenai punches way above its price range

This has had some good reviews and is cheap as chips. Borrowed some redfield bino's once when I forgot mine and they weren't too bad at all

    There's a Konus 20-60 x 80 in the Buy/Sell/Swap forum.
Can't find it just now, but IIRC, somewhere around $250 mark.
Looks pretty solid too - Italian/Jap bits, assembled in China (I think). @Kiwi Greg or some others may have an opinion worth listening too, about Konus.
