    Spring has Sprung

Warming weather and greening grass, means spring has sprung around here. Also, means the fallow does are about to drop and last years yearling's are the perfect eating size. A productive mornings walk ended up with these two tasty freezer fillers. The little CZ .223 with a 55gn gameking load performed perfectly.

    Some tender meat there
They look to be similar size to the European Roe deer

Don't know, never shot a Roe - but yearling fallow is the best venison I've eaten, and they make the carry out easy.

They will be good eating for sure.

@tanqueray ,Just the standard SP gameking. OSA sell it as factory ammo over here, you can get it in 900rd bulk cans for about $650, it shoots as good as my reloads and is probably just as cheap. As a result I don't reload for my .223 anymore

They would be nice skins to tan as well. I haven't tanned a skin in a long time but might get back into it.
