    Probably depends on how far south you are and also altitude you are looking to hunt, also what animal you are hoping to target.

    For me hunting red deer in southland late november and december. Let them put a bit of condition on before you go hunting. November a good time to get into freshly kicked out yearlings. fallow in the Blue mountains...whenever I can get a block but November is good all month.

    I try and book a trip in just before Xmas, so week of the 20th, no beggar around as they all too busy with Xmas pissups or getting ready for Xmas, good way of filling the freezer for the BBQ season!

    may well be different up north if thats where you located
