    You need to target a few more hinds to keep the current population in check. They are also generally the better tasting type than stags. Otherwise we will end up like how the current targeting of tahr has panned out! The females are the breeders - rec hunters will never get too many hinds otherwise you are encouraging WARO to do the job. So on your next hunt, whack some more hinds over for the freezer. Some of the stags will be bigger after the velvet season for the roar if you want antlers.
