Gidday,
Got my bloody wedding coming up early next year....... so was planning on taking me best man for a guided fallow hunt as a stag do, that way we can use the meat for the wedding also. Plus I've never shot a fallow

Can I please have some suggestions for guides/farms in the north island ? going as far as Wellington (fav paua spots )

There's an outfit at the end of Waitotara Rd out of Wanganui. Can't remember name but they were bloody good value when I oncwe needed a meat animal

Is it the Fairmead lodge ? prices are pretty good

This one. We drove up and had the use of the old homestead for the night (no charge) were away at 6:00 and had two down before 7:00. They were like rabbits in the end.

There's a guy out south head that does private fallow hunts, he advertises in the north auck DA newsletter. Balngown Hunting, 0274442057 Richard Ross. Not cheap but...

I have a steel ball and chain if you need it, spose I should be asking your best man, not you!

haha nah my mrs insists I go hunting or diving/fishing otherwise I drive her nuts, she actually enjoys it when I'm not home apparently..... probably goinking the guy next door!

Mate even better, not cheap but compared to going down the line it evens out. And a 3 year meat animal !!

Lots of Farms to shoot on out the Parapara's way near Raetahi too.

Going rate for a meat animal is a hundy per spiker/doe.

Will be a good stag do.
My best man booked around 10000 hectares of forestry for mine. Goats pigs paua long range rocks too much booze at night. Was great, beats goin to town on the Piss and getting in a brawl and was cheaper!

I remember mine well! Dressed as Jesus snd had to complete the Ten commandments such as "piss on an electric fence" and "bungy jump naked" among others. This idea sounds safer in many ways
