Just caught up with this old boy today.
His tusks were loose in the skull and really worn down. Old battler and has given me the slip loads of times.
So very chuffed. The horns are 13.5cm an 12 so very even.
Might be worth a medal here.

So update he’s going for an official measure. The guys here think he might just be a gold medal
Here’s what a typical one looks like for comparison.

Another one for the young fella. 325 yards. Another 5 minutes it would have been to dark for a shot.

Meet up with this big boy this morning, took a couple of rounds to put his lights out.A good 12 too.
Head shot a hind n big fawn just as the sun was going down last night.Broad side and drop on the spot at 120yds.Some deer have been walking a few steps with sholder shots, thort il try something different, broad side of coarse just below the ear.Took about drop on the spot, mind you the 308 spot on after a gentle clean,.5 moa everytime. No more April hunting for me,freezers fill now.

This morning we could have shot a couple more and roared in a decent red as well, so a pretty memorable little mission for the lads
