No one has started the annual stag and buck thread yet so thought I might as well kick it off
Show us your stags or bucks, big or small post them all!

Here is one from the other day the young fulla and I got. Stripped out nicely. Funny top on one side where the velvet has snapped then healed up again creating a kind of throwback.

    Oh ok, go on then

Nice even 10ptr from the Ruahine, stripped up well too. Shot at 1pm on a really hot day munching out hardcore on Ongaonga on a slip....

Not mine (shot by my sister) but couldn't not share. Weapon fallow buck shot this morning, public land South Canterbury.
Very lucky he's actually hard right the way through also. First stag/buck she's ever shot. Gonna send me some more photos later on but I've seen a video of it and it's pretty impressive, might lose a few points for a weak brow but has awesome guards and all the good bits on both sides and nice and even.

Edit to add: have studied video of it and other photos and it's actually pretty even on the brows also. Jammy, first stag/buck she ever shot haha

Some good antlers coming out. In 50 yrs time this period will be referred to as the second golden era.

It did say big or small so here's a small one. Young 6ptr I snuck in on this morning, always pleasing to shoot a deer in the kaimais and see them before they see you. Shot at about 9m. Probably the last remaining deer in the kaimais
