Bucks croaking well in the CNI over the weekend.
Snuck in on a ripper and had full draw at 20yds but he was either busy chasing off satellites, rounding up does or strategically positioning himself behind manuka.
Shot this guy the next day at 9 yards front on as he crested a small hill.I had seen him exit the manuka and could see his antlers approaching my way so was ready at full draw when he showed himself. Name: Messenger_creation_7AB38460-35A1-4E26-886F-DD8194CDD422.jpeg

Relax i have kept it, it's going in for a shoulder mount, private land but very much wild non fenced heard in the high country. Buck of a lifetime for me.

Dam that's a nice head massive congratulations and well deserved!

I rushed a shot this year and missed something very much alike . I learnt a lot more by missing then if I had hit it .but shit I was a broken man watching it run off ...

    Congratulations again

Yeah he was still in surprisingly good condition, considering definitely in full rut mode. Would've been a Cracker in a couple years but got to let the young fella cut his teeth.

Another stag for Spence. Early birthday present before he turned 9 today.
Fairly typical Ruahine stag. Pretty exciting for the young fulla as he came charging in roaring his head off.
