Thread: Steele creek greenstone block info

How's it going guys got the block for end of August and was wondering if anyone had any uselfull information on the walk to the hut, rough idea of what to expect animal wise, if it's worth flying in (2400 return), what the bush is like to hunt, etc

3hrs to start of block, easy walking, not worth flying IMO.
Could stay in dear stalkers hut if you book.
Steel creek hut is small but good.
Animal numbers good. Fairly open bush and tops easy enough to get to.

And keep your eyes open as you walk up the creek to the hut, theyre crafty little buggers.

Caples has been 1080ed early March. Deer repellent used though.

Heaps of chamois as well on the tops we flew in then got dropped on the tops
