We just returned from the same hut one week ago - quite a few immature tahr heads strewn around the hut and boned out legs so we biffed them further away. Looked to be from a while ago. Gave the fireplace a work over - notice how the base of the fire is being built up into the chimney area - now half the height so more heat for the hut interior. People are cutting down what's left of the matagouri outside with saws. We took in 2 bags of coke type stuff from Mitre 10 so half a bag left in the hut. We also burnt the left over dirty clothing/towels/socks hanging in the hut. Otherwise as said a few tahr walking about the place so knock those nannies over for meat. And take some mouse traps - mice out in the daytime inside the hut. It would be an extremely hot place to hunt as the months ticks by but productive in cool weather.
Yea heard you'd been in there. Thanks for leaving the hut so clean and tidy - well done. Only saw one mouse but he evaded the trap.
